Calming The Seas

Calming The Seas

Among troubled waters on a windy night

A beam of light announces a ray of hope

Touching the surface of a darkened sea

Painting an image of a golden tree.

Beams stretch afar to all that are lost

Faith blossoms, as they near the coast

Protected from great floods of despair

Saved by One who was always there.

A True Light, pure and bright

Everlasting, shining gloriously.

Filled with righteousness and peace

Lighting the way for peace to increase

O holy One, my Lord divine.

I have been set free from storms encompassing me

No longer bound to the vast wicked sea.

True Light has lit my humble path

Sparing me from God's just wrath.

Winds obeyed Him, calmed by His voice

Hear Him call you? Make the right choice.

Pray to Him… join in our stand

And lift His name high throughout the land.

Enter

When our hearts cannot help to exceedingly overflow

And transformation is perceived by those we know,

Celebrations ignite from daybreak until night.

Candles lit brightly, a wondrous sight.

Helping our brothers along the way,

Where many souls gather to pray.

Flowing waters, fields of green

Doves fly by and all is serene.

It is with peaceful

Assurance and

Pure joy we

Enter.

What A Few Can Do

What A Few Can Do

A few songs can bring

More voices to sing.

A few hearts with peace

May help peace increase.

A few faithful hands

Will aid other lands.

A few days of sun

Bring laughter and fun.

A few nights of rain

Help farmers to gain.

A few kind words said

Can help ease one's dread.

A few minds that care

Are thoughtful in prayer.

Be one of the few

Real, caring and true.

About The Author

I am a willing pen in the hands of our Lord who has me writing poems,prayers, articles and books to share with others about His tender mercies,grace and everlasting love.
Two devotionals have been published and have entered countries around the world. My poems have been found travelling in Barbados as well as India , where God has moved them quietly along.
