Re-Shaped But Not Thrown Away
Author:Hillbilly ( From the Bible Nugget Series - series 16)
Jeremiah 18:2-6 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. 3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. 5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
Isaiah 64:8-9 But now, O LORD, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. 9 Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.
Below you will find the words to a beautiful song that displays the truth found in the above scriptures much better than I could ever put down in words. Also at the end of the post you will find a link to a page where you can hear the words beautifully sang. I trust you will let Jesus speak to your heart as you read and listen.
May God bless,
Hillbilly
HE DOESN'T THROW THE CLAY AWAY
Empty and broken I came back to Him
A vessel unworthy so scarred with sin
But He did not despair He started over again
And I bless the day He didn't throw the clay away.
Over and over He molds me and makes me
Into His likeness He fashions the clay
A vessel of honor I am today
All because Jesus didn't throw the clay away.
He is the Potter and I am the clay
Molded in His image He wants me to stay
But when I stumble and fall and my vessel breaks
He just picks up all the pieces He doesn't throw the clay away.
Over and over He molds me and makes meInto His likeness He fashions the clay
A vessel of honor I am todayAll because Jesus didn't throw the clay away.
A vessel of honor I am todayAll because Jesus didn't throw the clay away.

Clay In The Potter's Hand
There is One who always knew me
Shaping my heart within His hand
Reaching out to hold me
Helping me to stand.
Living waters pour over and over
To soften this vessel of clay
That I may better serve Him
In the mission fields each day.
I am The Potter's work
Set upon His wheel
Teaching me His Ways
In how to care and love another.
Our Father reached out to me
The Spirit of Peace I feel
Etching His truths across my heart
As I sing upon His wheel.
The Potter is not quite through
There's more work on me to do
Holy waters still gently pour
Upon my soul-
Now being
restored.

As You Mold Me Lord
I am the clay; You are the Potter I know
You are shaping me each day for your plans
The vision for me is in Your mind so clear
You have fashioned me with Your hands
I have a request of You, dear Lord my God
As you mold me, please dear Lord I ask of You
Remove all the rough places that irritate others
Before with your refashioning You are through
There is a part of me that often is grumpy
Complaining when things do not please
If you would replace that with contentment
It sure would set my heart at ease
And dear Lord, while you are working on me
Would You remove that impatience of mine
And replace it with the virtue of patience pure
So I can keep my rushing about all in line
I really need these imperfections removed
And, Lord, I really have more to ask
You can make me into a lovely model
I knowFor You, nothing is an impossible task
What is that I hear You saying, dear Lord?
Forgive me, dear God, I hear and understand
As You mold me, You require I do my part
By submitting to Your Divine will
and planYou will not change me against my will
You are the Potter; I am the lump of clay
The obstacle of independence
I am to remove
Then You can work with me
and have Your way

Poetic Prayer - By Brother Stephen Monday
“His Holy Touch”
I praise the holy name of JESUS,
Messiah of Most High
Rise up my soul,
Unto HIS hand’s mold,
To bring fourth,
my edifying
For with his fire,
to burn away,
and parch inequities
I shall walk the walk,
and talk the talk,
The holy bible
teaches
Like a tree beside the river,
A spring of life
shall gush
From deep within,
My words to HIM,
sing praises
of His touch.
