There is a passage of scripture
where the "gate of Heaven" is actually mentioned.

I'm sure you are familiar with it but in case it has slipped your mind ,we'll take a look at this passage of Genesis right now:

Genesis 28:11-19

And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.
16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. 18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.
19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

Notice in verse 12 a ladder is set up reaching to heaven and the angels of God ascending and descending on it and in vs. 13 the Lord is at the top.

I believe that ladder was a type of Jesus Christ.

Notice this verse with those cited:

John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

We are truly thankful to God this on this blessed new day for the time
given to have another study in His Perfect Word.

Gate Of Our Lord

Gate,
In the sky
Where angels fly
Quietly near our King.
Glorious Heavens on High
Filled with voices that love to sing…
Where spiritual bells sound and ring.
Pray now that it's not too late
For others to see the Light…
Of our Lord, Giver of sight
Who will dry the tears
And rid us of fears
Come and enter
His Garden
Gate.

Psalm 118:20
This gate of the LORD,
into which the righteous shall enter.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do
his commandments, that they may have
right to the tree of life, and may
enter in through
the gates into
the city.

Poetic Prayer by Stephen Monday

Into Thy Gates

Father as our days, and years go by

Let us be thankful, in YOUR eyes

Let THY mercies, teach us grace

May we keep our hearts, tuned to THY ways

Lest we stumble, give us strength

To find our way, to You again

Teach us to be, not too moved

By worldly things, that are not of You

Lead our hearts, to love our brothers

Let us take time, to pray for others

Let us seek, THY kingdom first

And trust YOU, to, add to our purse

Let all things done, be in our faith

So we may enter, into THY gates .
