Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the act of presenting another’s writings as one’s own. Many college students have had their essays thrown out because of plagiarism. One can be sued for plagiarizing. Actually, plagiarism is an act of stealing, for the work was taken from another’s efforts and labor and claimed as one’s own. Often the person who plagiarizes will change a few words to try to make it appear the work is original.

Satan is guilty of plagiarism. He tries to say it is ok to believe that Jesus was real, but he wants to change the message to say it is not necessary to accept Jesus to be saved. Actually, satan tries to plagiarize a lot of doctrine, changing just enough to give a false meaning to the original. Satan will even go so far as to try to make it appear he is not the author of the false doctrine, but that his lies are the true version of the original doctrine.

The apostle Paul addressed this when he wrote to young Timothy. In 2 Timothy 4:3-4 we find:
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Just as the student who plagiarizes will have his or her work rejected, Christ rejects these false doctrines. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Do not be deceived by the lies and misleading of satan.

Sorry Satan, This Soul Is Taken

Get back Satan, you can't harm me.
My sins will be lifted, I'll be set free.
Get back Satan, try something new.
This soul's reserved and not for you.

I'm fishing to help others find Christ's Throne.
Go back where you came from, leave me alone.
You don't have the strength nor power...
To tempt me on any God given hour.

I have a new life and a great mission.
Nothing you do will distort this vision.
Devil, I'm a fish you'll just have to toss.
For each blessed day I look back on the Cross.

Christians will not forget to look back.
We walk in the light, not in the black.
Faithful believers, united we pray...
God walks with us every step of the way.

Mark 1:17
And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me,
and I will make you to become fishers of men.
