A Life of Giving- Words of Truth To Live By.
There are things we can give to our Lord of Life that help serve in the ministry of Christ and thankfully, it is our gracious God who equips us with all that is needed to produce a fruitful ministry in our numbered days.
What God Provides:
Wisdom: Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Strength: Psalm 28:7 Jehovah is my strength and my shield; My heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped: Therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; And with my song will I praise him.
Holiness: Hebrews 2: 11 For he who makes holy and those who are made holy are all of one family; and for this reason it is no shame for him to give them the name of brothers,
Spirit: Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
Confidence: John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
Light: John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Salvation: Luke 2:11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
We are the work of His Hands. We can honor our Heavenly Father by giving to Him and to those around us according to His will.
What We Give:
Give Thanks to God: 1 Thessalonians 5: 18In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Give Your Prayers to God: Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Give Your Cares to God: Psalm 55:22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Give Your song to God : Psalm 32:11 Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!
Give Cheerfully: 2 Corinthians 9:7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Give Honor To God: Corinthians 6:20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
Give Praise To God: Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name.
Often we sacrifice our time and give of ourselves to help others and this can serve as a blessed reminder to all the children of God around this earth- of all that Jesus gave to us, gives to us this day and how He layed down His life for us , giving the perfect Sacrifice- the Sacrifice that changed everything. We are given the opportunity to honor God everyday in our body and in peaceful unity of the Holy Spirit. Be glad in our Lord !
