Keepers of His Word

 

Keepers of His Word 

 

Scripture is our lamp light,
Providing wisdom and sight;
As we see  thru darkened glass
About the present, future and past.

 

Scripture helps the seeking to learn
To live unto God, to Him we turn
Wanting to love, trust and obey
Desiring not to be led  astray.

 

His Word is treasure in our heart
As it helps us to divide and part
those who bring falsehood and lies
As near truth hid  in clever disguise.

 

In His Word we take delight
For we are taught to learn what's right
From page to page we can explore
and know who truly is The Door.

 

And we are keepers of His Word
Humbled by the voice we heard
A voice so sacred in every way
The One we turn to when we pray. 

Luke 11 : 28 But he said, Yea rather,
blessed are they that hear the word of God,
 and keep it.
