Who Am I ?

Who am I?
A weeping sinner that heard His call...
Now rescued from a terrible fall.
John 10:27-28

Who am I?
A humble servant that no longer does weep
For I am counted as one of His sheep.
John 10:7,14

Who am I?
Someone who is never alone
And a spirited living stone.
1 Peter 2:5

Who am I?
A student of God’s perfect Word
Walking in Truths that I have learned.
Psalm 86:11, Psalm 119:140

Who am I?
An adopted child unto my King…
And always guarded under His wing.
Ephesians 1:5

Who am I?
God’s child who now stands in His Light,
And a candle for His Kingdom bright.
Matthew 5:16

Who am I?
I am His letter read by this world
Of His Good News and plans unfurled.
2 Cor. 3:2-3

Thank you so much for sharing!!! What a TIMELY word!
Sis, I have been dealing with what is referred to as "exostosis" or "Tori"... abnormal, bony growths in my jaws/gumlines. My insurance will not pay to have them removed as it is considered a "dental" procedure. Most cases are not painful, but mine have grown rather large and I experience a lot of pain with them. They are supposedly directly related to Gardner's Syndrome, a genetic disease, and I've been told I should also be checked for colon cancer and have some genetics testing done. Some of my family members had similar problems, including supernumery teeth and colon cancer.
I know that within the Word of God is my strength, my healing, my hope... my very life. I will not go down easily when I know that all that things are possible with God. I just know in my heart that He LOVES doing what is impossible for man. And when I read this e-mail today, though I've read Hebrews 4:12 many times, when I read the WORDS "...and of the joints and marrow", they came to life somehow and I just knew.....
I just knew that clinging to the Word of God with all my heart will sustain me. He is capable. He's able. His arm is NOT too short.
Thank you again and again for faithfully sharing.
In His comforting embrace,
~Treava

Yes, isn't it wonderful that we have the Sword of the Spirit with us at all times. But we often forget and try to fight our own battles. Your poem at the end of the Bible lesson brings home the truth that we can walk and talk with the Savior whenever we choose, and He is with us all the time. Thanks Julie.

Thanks Julie,

Wonderful lesson and poem. I have taught the armour of the Lord on several occassions and stress two addition things concerning the whole armour.

1. There was no protection for the back. We are to stand and not run.

2. There was one piece of armour missing that was worn by the Roman soldier. The greave protected the leg but kneeling was nigh on to impossible when worn. If you got down you could hardly get up. I believe the greave was purposely omitted by Paul as you could not kneel in prayer if they were worn. Most of the battles of the Christian will be won on the knees.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

God bless always,
